Understanding Hypnotherapy

A Safe and Natural Approach

Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural phenomenon that facilitates a state of deep mental relaxation with a focused intention. It ensures you remain secure, in control, and fully conscious of your environment. Through this process, your subconscious mind becomes receptive to new information and suggestions, fostering therapeutic change.

Mental Health and Happiness

Hypnotherapy offers a powerful tool for mental health and well-being, aiding individuals in overcoming negative subconscious blocks. It supports a journey towards a healthier, happier mind, regardless of the challenges faced.

Versatile Applications

For Everyone
The applications of hypnotherapy are vast and varied, catering to both adults and children. Whether you're seeking to overcome personal obstacles, improve mental health, or achieve specific goals, hypnotherapy provides a flexible and effective solution.

General

Most insurance companies will not cover the cost of Hypnotherapy sessions however It is always worth checking as some companies have flexible benefits packages that include an amount of ‘discretionary spend’.

As a member of the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH) in Canada, using such a spend account is made possible.

The core difference between hypnotherapy and other methods is depth and speed. Using hypnotherapy techniques like relaxation, guided imagery, and the trance state, therapists are able to access the subconscious more quickly than traditional methods. Traditional methods may take weeks, months, or years to uncover the subconscious reasons behind issues that are manifesting in clients. With hypnotherapy, these reasons can be found in as little as one session.

While hypnosis and hypnotherapy are in the same “family,” they are very different from each other. The core difference is that hypnotherapy is an internationally-recognized therapy technique for treating mental and psychosomatic issues. It uses hypnosis to break through to the subconscious to better understand the foundation of the issues a client is facing.

Hypnotherapy uses the hypnotic trance as a method for accessing the subconscious. Accessing the subconscious allows therapists to better understand the core reasons that someone’s issues may be manifesting.

Think of the therapist as an emotional baggage handler. Helping you assess what you need to carry with you in the future and what to let go and leave behind. Hypnotherapy provides the pathway to tunnelling directly into the subconscious.

Hypnotherapy can treat everything from helping people stop smoking (smoking cessation), weight loss, depression, anxiety, pain relief, self-esteem issues, physical healing, trauma, bad habits and phobias in addition to many other issues.

In fact, you might be hard pressed to discover something that hypnosis WON’T be able to treat.

The subconscious mind is where we store everything that has ever happened in our lives. Therefore, it is much more efficient to do therapy while in the subconscious state, using hypnotherapy to access these moments in our lives that have impacted us. This results in greater awareness around one’s issues. With this awareness comes the ability to recognize the cause of behaviours that one desires to change.

Yes, hypnotherapy works. Professional organizations have consistently reported on the value of hypnotherapy. The British Medical Association has been formally studying and verifying it since 1892.

Both the British Medical Association and the American Medical Association have confirmed the efficacy of hypnotherapy as official policy.

Hypnotherapy has repeatedly and consistently helped patients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, obesity, habits, fears and phobias and countless other issues

The hypnotic trance state creates a deep sense of relaxation and allows the client to let go. During this process, the hypnotherapist is able to uncover subconscious motivations, access repressed memories, perform regression therapy, and/or use the power of suggestion to “re-map” the mind’s responses to stimuli.

Many people think of hypnosis as inducing sleep. That’s actually not the case. Hypnotherapy induces the “trance state.” It is actually a natural state of mind that many of us encounter in everyday life on a regular basis. If you’ve ever been engrossed in a book, movie, or performance, then you have likely experienced the trance state.

The only thing that distinguishes a naturally occurring trance state from the hypnotic trance state is that hypnotherapists induce the latter and are able to control the trance state to create understanding and healing.

Hypnotherapy is the practice of psychotherapy with a client who is in the hypnotic altered state of consciousness. Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to access the source of distress, like depression and anxiety, and for people to reconnect with dissociated emotions and disowned parts of themselves. Hypnotherapy helps therapists and clients get closer to the source of a client’s issues by opening the doorway to their subconscious mind.

This program is a six week online journey designed to give you a full reset of energy, goals, and purpose when undergoing significant change. It is delivered as 1-1 90 minute sessions, using hypnotherapy tools and techniques, providing education and coaching on personal values (what makes us tick).

This can range from how to tackle your fear or heights or fear of failure, or shift your mind from a phobia to being free of worry. Hypnosis techniques work with you to subconsciously shift to feel great positive change where you can safely have the mindset to do it anyway.

Hypnosis guides your mind to convert the voice in your head to believe and know that you are good enough, you are loved, and whatever anyone has told you in the past should only be there to serve your best self (which is you all along)’.

There are so many ways to try to be the “perfect” shape or size when perfect doesn’t exist. Hypnosis can show you how to love the skin you are in and help you achieve your weightless goals in one.

Mental health is just as important as our physical health, and a lot of cases where we feel anxious, stressed, depressed is when there is a lot of uncertainty, ambiguity and potentially loneliness. Hypnosis can support and reframe our emotions, create space to build or confidence and overcome our anxious thoughts and stress responses.
